WINTER SOLSTICE FLOW & RESTORE

Winter Solstice Flow & Restore is a workshop intended to guide you from the everyday challenges of life into a relaxed, calm space, & from contraction to rejuvenation.

Throughout history winter solstice – the shortest day of the year – has been a significant time of year in many cultures, and has been marked by festivals and rituals.

The term solstice actually means ‘sun standing still”. From here onwards the days gradually become lighter until the summer solstice – the longest day of the year – then the cycle begins again. 

FLOW: We begin with a reclined mediation, then a flow of mindful breath. From this centred place, your slow flow will incorporate postures chosen to release the tension you may be holding in your body. Not only will you ground, centre & balance, but increase mobility. 

RESTORE: The second part of the experience is in deep relaxation with longer held, supported postures to help repair and restore your entire system, & of course a deliciously generous Savasana. From this place of rejuvenation, you are then open to flourishing.

Kylie shares that her Slow Flow Yoga Class will be similar to, though much more relaxed than a vinyasa sequence.
It will incorporate the same linking of asana (the postures) & steady style of breath to pace transitions, with way less intensity.
When the breath & asana are linked there is a flowing effect, riding waves of breath while moving in and out of each asana.
When breath initiates the movement we can receive deep physiological stress reduction.
The workshop will continue into restorative yoga, the ideal practice to go deeper still ❤️
