Your teacher: Izzy Leach

Izzy’s class is a welcoming space to arrive just as you are, ground yourself, and connect within. Her gentle vinyasa practice is designed to be accessible, cultivating inner calm and body awareness through slow yet dynamic movement. Each class begins with a centering practice and pranayama, followed by a mindful flow, and concludes with a brief Yoga Nidra.

For Izzy, yoga has been a powerful support in navigating periods of depression, anxiety, and life as a neurodivergent person. She finds that pranayama, meditation, and asana practices help her stay present in her body, regulate emotions, quiet an overactive mind, and build both strength and balance. Izzy completed her 200-hour YTT in July and is expanding her knowledge through an Accessible Yoga course with Jivana Heyman.

Her teaching approach is trauma-informed and inclusive, offering multiple variations for each pose to create a safe, welcoming space for everyone. All abilities and bodies are warmly welcome

Izzy is beginning her journey as a yoga teacher after completing her 200-hour training in July. She has been practicing with family and friends and is eager to continue learning and build her confidence in teaching larger groups. Trained in both Hatha and Vinyasa styles, Izzy enjoys teaching dynamic, strong flows as well as slower, more mindful sequences. Her classes are guided by the breath, encouraging students to move intuitively and connect deeply with their bodies.

With a background in mental health and disability support work, Izzy is passionate about the mental health benefits of yoga. She first found yoga while recovering from an eating disorder, depression, and anxiety. As a late-identified AuDHDer (Autism and ADHD), yoga continues to be an invaluable tool for grounding and emotional regulation.

Drawing from this personal experience, Izzy aims to create a safe, inclusive space in her classes, where students can show up as they are, find moments of calm, and reconnect with their bodies
