Wednesday, 21 June is International Day of Yoga, a focus on raising awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practising Yoga. Despite what gets portrayed, Yoga is not a religion but rather a scientifically proven practice that assist in transforming and nurturing your mind, body, and soul. Yoga brings harmony, balance, and serenity into our lives. When regularly practicing the physical postures, breathing and meditation, a proven combination that helps reduce stress whilst keeping your body supple and healthy, and your mind vibrant and calm.
If you have or never done Yoga before then this is an excellent opportunity regardless of age or fitness level. There are many ways Yoga is shared and an approach that suits everybody, so if you‘ve tried before, then try again with someone new.
Yoga is a fantastic complement to strength or weight training, as it enhances physical and mental well-being. While strength training primarily focuses on building muscular strength and power, yoga brings in flexibility, balance, and mobility. Yoga with strength or weight training routine can lead to a more balanced, holistic approach to fitness.
Join us for a free come-and-try on Wednesday, 21st June, where you can experience the way Yoga is shared at Clayfield Yoga Studio. Come and see our beautiful serene space that provides the perfect ambience for your Yoga journey.
Our knowledgeable and experienced Senior Yoga instructor Tanya will guide you through a beginner-friendly yoga session with variations to accomodate the mix of bodies in the room. You’ll have the chance to explore various yoga poses, learn proper breathing techniques, and experience moments of deep relaxation. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some prior yoga experience, this event welcomes all individuals seeking to explore the benefits of Yoga.
The Yoga Day is a free come-and-try event to give you a taste of Yoga. The 3- week Beginner’s Yoga course is designed to introduce you to the foundations of Yoga, helping you build strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. With the guidance of our expert instructor, you will progressively learn a variety of yoga poses, develop an awareness of your breath, and cultivate a sense of inner calm. The 3-week course will empower you to establish a sustainable yoga practice that enhances your well-being. Even big adventure starts with a single step forward so come and try a session first.
How to Join: Participating in our Free come-and-try event is simple! Just mark your calendar and book in to secure your spot:
When: Wednesday, 21st June
Where: Clayfield Yoga Studio on the corner of Vine Street and Wagner Rd, Clayfield.
Class booking essential: limited spacing, we encourage you to book in. Please note the 6 am class has been cancelled.
* This will be gentle class with variations offered to be suitable for a mixed level class.
* We cap numbers to have personal space around your mat.
* Bookings are essential to guarantee your spot.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, if you don’t have your own mate we have cleaned mats you can borrow.
