Begin the New Year with Gratitude

If wanting a new year of greater abundance, first acknowledge and appreciate the abundance you already as this is your driving force.

The Class has passed but you can still follow along with our daily posts on Facebook or Instagram

Daily recalling is proven to rewire your brain. You are training your mind to notice and to attract. Gratitude is like a magnet; the more grateful you are, the more you will receive, which makes you more grateful.

Research into daily practices of Gratitude help:

  • Improve your health. Less stress on your heart and less worry mean less strain on your immune system.
  • You can deal with adversity to build strong relationships. Be inspired to say thank you. Connect with others and strengthen your relationships.
  • Feeling optimistic and happier decreases anxiety. Getting a good night’s sleep gives you more energy to be productive throughout the day, stay active, and stick to your healthy routines.

Journaling is a great way to make your attitude of Gratitude a habit. Writing things down helps build awareness. It can bring everyday joys buried in the back of your mind to the forefront of your consciousness.

How to start cultivating Gratitude?

Yoga means Union. It is a scientific practice that, when practised, regularly brings you back to a more united body, mind and spirit. Here you are more Mindful. The more aware you are, the more you notice small details in everyday life.

Breathing practices (Pranayama) tune your mind to your body’s constant rhythm. You are perfect already at breathing; you only need to pay more attention to it. Breathing practices help calm and settle, which allows you to focus more clearly and concentrate longer. From a tranquil state of mind, we naturally feel more grateful.

Meditation follows much more effortlessly; these practices continue to build your concentration.

Yoga poses are taught because your body naturally takes a certain posture according to your emotions. You slump when you are tired or sad; when you are happy and alert, you sit taller. Consciously getting your body into specific postures can change how you feel, think, understand, and even experience life.

Gratitude is an emotion that originates and grows from our heart’s centre

Our class may have finish but you can still attend our ongoing classes to partake in the yogic practices that support and open your heart. All of our classes will guide you to slow down, listen to your inner self, and connect to those feelings of Gratitude already waiting within you to make 2023 a beautiful abundant year.
